Jeremy Lin is a Taiwanese-American professional basketball player for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He is the first Asian American to win the NBA Championship, having done so in 2019 with the Toronto Raptors.

Jeremy was born on August 23, 1988, in Torrance, Los Angeles County, USA, to Lin Gie-Ming and Shirley Lin. He grew up in Palo Alto, San Francisco Bay Area. He has an older brother, Josh, and a younger brother, Joseph.
His parents emigrated from Taiwan to the United States to study at the university. They settled first in Virginia, then in Indiana, and finally in California. His father’s family is originally from Fujian Province in southern China and they later settled in Beidou, Taiwan.
Moreover, his mother’s family is originally from Pinghu on the east coast of China and they emigrated to Taiwan in the late 1940s. His parents hold US and Taiwanese citizenship. Jeremy’s parents are devout Christians, and he was raised in a religious environment.

In five Summer League games, playing in both guard positions. Lin averaged 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 18.6 minutes per game and shot 54.5% of the team’s leaders off the floor.
